Meltdown Compilation CD vision, Please help to raise funds

Raising Funds for Metal Compilation CD

Meltdown Music UK is in the process of raising funds for a new exciting project to outreach to the Metal community. Both Dave Williams (Director of Meltdown Music) and I are working very hard to see this vision come to pass.

We have had an overwhelming response from Bands and Labels alike but now we are in a position with enough songs to actually do it. However, we need to raise £1200.00 for 1000 pressed CD's. So far only £55.00 has been raised for the project and I myself have already donated towards it. To contribute is easy, just follow this link, http://www.faithlauncher.com/projects/2177-meltdown-compilation-cd .

We have just over 2 months to raise the funds necessary for the project to go ahead. Our mission and plans are to press 1000 CD's to sell at £5.95 a CD for 500 of them and then to give away 500 CD's to media outlets, through magazines, radio stations and even to the unsaved listener. Magazines such as Kerrang, Terrorizer and Metal Hammer, just to name a few.

WE believe in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who need to hear it. Bands included are Mortification, The Crucified, Soul Embraced, Pantokrator, AsWeAre, Because of Me, Oskord, Hero, Every Knee will Bow and many more.

Your donations and gifts will be greatly received as all proceeds will go towards our second release and to keep the compilations coming for years to come with new music, new bands coming through the Christian Metal scenes all across the world.

If you have any questions you may email Dave at mail@meltdownmusic.co.uk or John Carthew jcarthew@fsmail.net or myself at christian@meltdownmusic.co.uk

We look forward to hearing from you and seeing this God given project come to pass.

Metal Blessings

Ancient Prophecy - Pounded By Our Sins Review

Ancient Prophecy - Pounded by our sins

Hi guys and girls and welcome to my next review. Ancient Prophecy - Pounded by our sins. Sitting in my room for sometime, I finally found the time to review it, so as promised here it is........

This week Ancient Prophecy celebrate 20 years, Pounded By Our Sins their first official full length has laid all on the table, with the chant of Metal is still alive and walking side by side in Christ, to the beautiful vocals of Jaqueline Kunz, with her rocking it from the word go, joined by Florian Kraus (guitar, back-vocals)Tobias Buss (guitar, main, back-vocals)Timothy Bostick (bass guitar)Lynn Neissner (drums).

Ancient Prophecy is a progressive melodic power metal band from Germany with a full blend
of fast paced melodic riffs and raging solos it really shows the longevity of the band, with it's tight and professionalism. Atmospheric keyboards are use quite frequently through the album which I believe gives it that extra lift for the fullness of the songs with Lynn Neissner blasting on his kit over working the double kick which tops it off just nicely, growls and sheiks are also found throughout the album.

Up to just recently German secular radio is starting to take notice of what they are trying to achieve, progressive metal especially with a female vocalist until only just in the last recent 15 years have been a trademark for some the greatest metal bands around.

Pounded by our sins is my favourite track, with everything found in almost every metal genre, from raging guitars that speak and over each other, to the groove sounds and even the speed of a black metal song. It has it all.

After 20 years you would think they would slow down, but my judgement is that this is just the beginning.

Blessings

The Metal Community and Christianity

Metal & Christianity

A friend via Facebook asked the question today "Can you explain to me the correlation between Christian faith and the dark graphics (skulls, death etc.) so indicative of Christian as well as regular hard/heavy metal?"

A very honest and light question, with just wanting to understand the reasons on why Christian Metal and Hard Music bands using imagery of the secular realm. Mainstream Christianity needs to understand, Mark 16:15 "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation". So scripture clearly states to outreach to ALL creation.

I grew up in an era where Mainstream Christianity and Christian Metal music was divided, where most religious believers judged a believer who loved  heavy metal as of the Devil and that it was Devils music. I do agree, a majority of secular metal does represent the evil one, when it comes to sex, drugs, atheism and so on, but when Jesus said in Mark 16:15 is proof that we as believers need to pursue our passion for saving souls in the metal community.

We can have the look and the same music, but as God's new creation we don't do what they do. But, we are all sinners saved by grace. A loving God who loves all creation that he sent his son, so that WE may have life.

In Luke 6:44 and 45 declares "For each tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from a briar bush. 45"The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart."

It doesn't matter if you are clean cut or have long hair, piercings and tattoos. We are the same body all called to different things. Even Jesus in the day was a rebel to the religious leaders of the day, for they didn't recognise he was Immanuel (which means God is with us). But when the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, "Look, Your disciples do what is not lawful to do on a Sabbath." 3But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he became hungry, he and his companions, 4how he entered the house of God, and they ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for him to eat nor for those with him, but for the priests alone? 5 Or have you not read in the Law, that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and are innocent? 6"But I say to you that something greater than the temple is here. 7"But if you had known what this means, 'I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT A SACRIFICE,' you would not have condemned the innocent 8"For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath." Matt 12:2 - 8.

So even Jesus was persecuted by the church of the day, but it sharing all this ALL of my friends know this. The Father loves us and loves ALL creation. We are one body and finger can't do the job of the knee, and ear for a toe. We are all called to work and serve in different ways, just like Jesus was called to serve the Father so the ultimate victory could be done. "IT IS FINISHED" says the Lord.

I pray for anyone who reads this that God's spirit be upon you and to keep fighting the good fight for Jesus, no matter what you're called to do, never relent or slow down. Pray and seek his face in Jesus name. Amen

Peace in Jesus name to everyone of you.

Metal For Jesus Review

My good friend Johannes Jonsson sent me a copy of this album a while ago and now after all this time I'm reviewing it. Well, you'll love this album for anyone who loves the old school handbanging. Produced none other than Christian (great name) Liljegren from Narnia and DivineFire just to name a couple has done a wonderful job with this release along side Johannes. Metal For Jesus is purely made up of Sweden's finest.

Starting with the ever great Narnia a neoclassical progressive metal band that time after time blows you away with how tight a band can get. Guitarist Carl Johan Grimmark who can make his guitar talk in ways only Steve Vai would. All of their tracks in this album and are classic Narnia bringing power metal at the forefront.

Next is Christian's solo project AudioVision, a melodic metal band which sound was huge in the mid to late 80's. With a mixture of Hard rock and high vocals known in the 80's era of metal, rock and catchy riffs with some guitar solo's thrown around to balance the songs from end to finish. The Weinesjö brothers (Veni Domine) I believe have been an important part of their sound.

Divinefire is next up and with darker and more atmospheric sounds leaning towards a mixture of gothic/unblack/classical synths, crunching guitars and growling vocals in places. Christian has still kept some of his influences of power in there too giving it the overall sound to impress the cynical listener.

Golden Resurrection more pop rock driven than most of Christian's efforts. His voice still carries beautifully. Some delicious guitar solos with the band and some straight ahead rock riffs.

Lastly Modest Attraction, I would call this biker music. AC/DC is the closest secular band I could define it, blues rock and catchy chorus and very rock and roll, throwing a bit of funk in the middle of the track does throw you off guard. Only one song on the album, but it does break it up a bit.

Overall a great album for those who grew up in the mid to late 80's and early 90's. Some great melodic metal there. The whole sounding purpose of this record is to spread the Gospel of Jesus and the ministry behind it, with a passion for souls through the music created for the Creator and using this album as a tool for the unbeliever and to minister the Good News to the listener.

Check it out for yourself.

Welcome to the beginning of change and salvation through Christ Jesus

Welcome To The Beginning..........

We at Worldwide Christian Hard Music and Metal Onslaught bring you greetings to our new blog page that will bring you all the news, previews, interviews, links, teachings and all things related as an outreach through this blog not only to the Christian community but also to those of you who may not know Christ or sitting on the fence.

We are passionate about the Gospel of Jesus the Messiah and for heavy music where so many of us love, live and listen too.

For the Word of God declares in Mark 16:15,16 "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16, Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

It also says in John 3:16 and 17 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17, For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Our heart is to show God's love to the world through music and fellowship, to reach out to those that a large number of religious circles think that are hard to reach. We are passionate about souls and heavy music so here we are....................... Ready to rumble for Jesus.......................

Peace and Love in Jesus name
